Links, Making Money Online

Boom! What is happening now a days?… I have been reading John Chow all day long, subscribing feeds and reading them all day long. I was very much interested in Blogging but often failed to deliver quality content, still I tried to keep up my blog with few wired and funny ads.

Few days back I saw no use of Google Ads for my Half-dead Blog with low visitors, but decided with a small Google Ad sense Link Unit on my sidebar… How the hell I made $9.70 the next day? then $7.41 then I was off with ad sense for a day to check if it was a big mistake Google was committing.. Hell No… After a day break I again made $9.67… All with a link unit… Is that really possible? 3 days – nearly $30!

I really don’t know what’s going on, I am not a heavy commenter on other blogs.. Its just few blogs where I post my comments that too once in a while.. I am a John Chow blog addict, but never a comment-whore still John Chow dot com is my major referrer.

This is surely an eye-opener for a half-dead blogs like mine. All I can conclude with is ‘First make things possible, money will automatically come’.

Thanking you guys (Heartfull of wishes as of now, Shall buy a beer once I get my cheque ;) )

Is it just a beginning or a mistake?

@ Benedict - Yeh, we need to keep going.

@ Michael - 18%-21%… U know what!? I am yet to read what is CTR all about.. I know its click through rate, starting to dig every resource about it.

Thanks for the mention too. I have been considering putting a bit of advertising on my site, but don’t want to put people off, maybe I should give it a go?

18-21% CTR! My, that is an amazing statistic, most dont cross 3 to 4%.. That effectively means 20% of your visitors click the ads.. I am sure that the people who come here are an ad savvy lot, considering the fact that your blog is about ads as well!!

    Santosh, Congrats! Good start there.

I would suggest that you contact the AdSense supposr team by email immediately and report that you are getting this sort of strange increase in the revenue and check your logs for any fraud clicks. This will make you safe. Cos, if at all there are any fraud clicks going on(third party, not your fault), then Google will not give you a chance to explain, but rather ban you.

    All the best ;)
